Online Training for Direct Care Staff

The Texas Association for Home Care & Hospice is pleased to offer RCTCLEARN.NET, an on demand, internet-based program.  These courses are offered as a benefit to TAHC&H members only!  That's right - no extra fees to access the courses!  This comprehensive group of online training courses was designed specifically for the home care and hospice industries and provides quality training to Personal Care Attendant/Aides, Home Health Aides, Nurses, Therapists and Volunteers.

Each course features fully-interactive curriculum created by the Center for Business and Workforce Education at Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) The RCTCLEARN.NET program offers you convenience because the courses can be taken anytime, anywhere. Each RCTCLEARN.NET course features printed certificates, links to further information, and quizzes.  You will be able to track the progress of your individual employees who are using the training program, and thereby fully utilize a valuable training tool.

RCTCLEARN.NET is NOW an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Wisconsin Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation!  Starting July 11, this approved provider status is valid for all Professional Courses through June 20, 2014.  An exact course listing of approved courses is listed below.  Please note: These courses have a final quiz that must be passed at a 70% pass rate in order to qualify for ANCC CEs.  They have also put in place a new survey and certificate of completion tracking system.

As a TAHC&H member, you have already been provided 10 user accounts on the RCTCLEARN.NET website.  Call Deborah Brea at the TAHC&H office at (800) 880-8893 to get your agency username/password information.   Deborah will be able to provide you with additional usernames and logins if you have more than 10 employees who need to take courses.  We strongly suggest that you designate an RCTCLEARN.NET coordinator within your agency.  This person is the one who will receive usernames and will be the point of contact with TAHC&H.

Getting Started

It's easy, just follow the steps below.

-Get your username and password from your supervisor or education coordinator.
-Read the Student Guide.
-Browse the Home Health Care & Hospice Catalog, or click here for the Professional Catalog.
-Login below.
-Click the Course of your choice.

Each course includes a quiz.  After completion of all quizzes in the course, you can print a certificate to keep for your records.  Also, you do not have to take an entire course at one time.  You can save your work!  Then, you can continue where you left off anytime you wish.  The system will keep track of each course you have completed.
