OASIS-D Accuracy Training is a 1-day, 6.5 hour crash-course workshop designed to update clinicians on the most current OASIS-D information, with a focus on assessment strategies and guidance tips for accurate data collection and response selection. While not all OASIS items will be covered, it will address items used for reimbursement and quality measurement, the new GG items, and items that have presented problems for clinicians in the past. This workshop will provide you with the latest key OASIS-D resources and references in electronic format that you can use after the workshop to maintain a current, comprehensive knowledge of OASIS. This workshop is presented by Teresa Northcutt from Selman-Holman & Associates, an expert instructor who has earned the Certificate for OASIS Specialist-Clinical (COS-C) designation. Teresa uses her years of home health experiences to illustrate concepts and guide you easily through application scenarios that are typical for home care patients.
This workshop is designed to:
- Support the educational needs of home health clinicians in achieving comprehension and accuracy in OASIS data collection using guidelines established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
- Supply the knowledge and tools necessary to boost clinical confidence while building a foundation of data collection precision.
- Provide relevant Continuing Nursing Education credit required for license renewal.
- Provided Administrator Clock hours to meet required OASIS training for HCSSA’s.
